Reid’s Parties

Dating apps suck almost as much as the Austin dating scene.

So we’re throwing application-based, mostly-singles parties for genuinely interesting people.

We’re accepting applications for our September 5th party for a limited time.Next party: September 5th. Spots are limited.

What is this?

We throw parties for qualified singles in Austin, ages 20–26. Food and drinks are provided, and there are no fees. Because it’s an event full of strangers, safety is our first priority, and we will not approve anyone who seems remotely unsafe.

Who’s going?

We read every application to make sure all attendees are genuinely unique people. We want people who care about being in shape, have big goals, and are willing to be different.

Again, safety is important to us, so we screen everyone for any short term intentions or questionable behavior, as we don’t want our events to be unsafe, gross, or hookup-y. Additionally, all attendees must agree to the expectation waiver if we approve your application.

What’s the catch?

Reid here (from reidsparty.com). We’re doing this for two reasons. The biggest is that I’m looking for a life partner, as are some of my closest friends. We’re successful at a young age (22–25), and it’s rare for us to find people that share our values, beliefs, and are around our age. I figured we’re not the only ones. Thankfully, parties are a great way to get to know people.

That being said, it’s important to me that everyone who attends is safe, comfortable and believes it was worth their time. I hate the thought of putting a bunch of strangers in a room with someone ill-intentioned/predatory. For that reason, we interview all men with qualified applications. Just so we can be entirely sure that everyone there has pure intentions, means well, and can handle rejection and other situations with respect.

So if you’re interested, and you think you’d be a fit, please apply.
