Reid’s Parties - reidsparty.com

I, (print your name), am attending an event organized through reidsparty.com (the “Event”). “Organizers” means the Event’s organizers, hosts, staff, and volunteers. In exchange for being allowed to attend, I agree to the following:

1. Being at this Event does not entitle me to anyone’s attention, interest, affection, or time.
2. Anyone can decline my company, for any reason or no reason, at any time. Nobody has to be into me. “No” is a complete answer, and I will accept it the first time, without argument, pressure, guilt-tripping, or retaliation.
3. I will not harass anyone. No unwanted touching, no following or cornering, no repeated advances after a no, no sexual comments, no pressure of any kind.
4. I am not exempt from the consequences of my actions. If I behave inappropriately, the Organizers may remove me from the Event and ban me from future events, immediately and at their sole discretion, and I will leave when asked. If my conduct may be unlawful, it may be reported to the police. My behavior is my responsibility alone.
5. I can be removed at any time. I understand that I can be removed from the Event by the Organizers at any time, with no notice, for any lawful reason or for no reason at all, at their sole discretion, and that no explanation is owed to me. Attending is a revocable privilege, not a right: the Event is private, my invitation is a license the Organizers may revoke at any moment, and if I am asked to leave I will do so immediately and calmly. I understand that remaining after being asked to leave would make me a trespasser under Texas law.
6. I understand that the Organizers screen applications, interview attendees, and will do everything reasonably in their power to keep this Event safe and comfortable, including removing anyone who behaves inappropriately. Even so, no screening is perfect, and the Organizers cannot control or guarantee any person’s behavior. If another attendee harms me, harasses me, or makes me uncomfortable, responsibility for that conduct lies entirely with that person, not the Organizers. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, I RELEASE AND AGREE NOT TO SUE THE ORGANIZERS FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE CONDUCT OF ANOTHER ATTENDEE OR FROM THE ORDINARY RISKS OF ATTENDING A SOCIAL EVENT. THIS RELEASE DOES NOT APPLY TO HARM CAUSED BY AN ORGANIZER’S OWN GROSS NEGLIGENCE OR WILLFUL MISCONDUCT.
7. I will speak up right away. If anything or anyone at the Event makes me uncomfortable, I will tell a staff member immediately so they can handle it.
8. The guest list. We make the guest list available to all approved attendees a few days before the party. We do this so you can make sure you don’t end up stuck in a room with someone you want to avoid, and so you can let us know if anyone makes you uncomfortable. That being said, I agree that my first name, last initial, photo, and social handle may appear on that private guest list, visible only to approved attendees.
9. Alcohol. I will not consume alcohol at the Event unless I am 21 or older, and I will not give alcohol to anyone under 21.
10. Photos and video. I understand that the Event will be photographed and recorded, and I agree that the Organizers may use my name, image, likeness, voice, and appearance in that content to promote Reid’s Parties and future events. I grant the Organizers a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to do so in any media, including organic social content, paid advertising, and reidsparty.com, without further approval, notice, or compensation.
11. I am at least 18 years old, and my application was truthful. This is the entire agreement between me and the Organizers on these topics. Texas law governs it, and if any part of it is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. I have read this whole page, I understand it, and I am signing it freely.
